Shonan Gold

by Mixologist Hilary Tolman

Recipe is for 1 cocktail. This drink is on the sour side so those who like a sweeter drink should add a little simple syrup to the mix.

  • 2 oz vodka (I used plain vodka but if you happen to have citrus or yuzu vodka, now would be the time to use it)
  • 1 Tbsp orange marmalade dissolved in 2 tsps of boiling water
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice + 1/2 tsp zest
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice + 1/2 tsp zest
  • 1 Tbsp tangerine juice (or orange juice if tangerine juice is not available; I used blood orange because I thought it would make the drink a pretty color)
  • 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • Soda water, sparkling sake or Prosecco to top up the cocktail
  1. Place all of the ingredients except for the soda water (or whatever liquid you choose to top up the cocktail) in an ice filled shaker. Shake well to combine.
  2. Strain into a chilled Champagne flute and top with iced soda water, or whatever sparkling liquid you are using.
